“What constitutes real democracy is not to recognise equals but to make them equal.”
Gambetta (French politician)
The Student Association encourages our students to be active participants from an early age, while also helping to instill in them an awareness of duty and responsibility and develop their understanding of democracy.
At the beginning of the school year an election is held to select a school president from grade 8 and a vice president from grade 5. Before the vote, candidates carry out a one-week election campaign. The president and vice president of the student association are determined by a democratic vote.
The student association president receives comments and suggestions from other students and the student council, which are then passed on to the school administration who can then help to resolve any problems.
One student from every grade level is chosen as a representative for the student council. These class representatives meet once every month with the student association president to discuss students’ problems and wishes.
